Dyatlov Takes Command

April 25, 1986. In the control room, deputy chief engineer (and test supervisor) Anatoly Dyatlov directs his staff. During the day, the experiment is prepared and power is reduced. The test is delayed when another power plant goes offline and the country needs the electricity from the nuclear plant. A shift change replaces the operators. Dyatlov stays.
