The Golden Fifties

The 1950s were a bright time for Rayon. Tire cord and rayon yarn broadened the product range. Production doubled, and by the end of the decade output was 20,000 tons with 1,400 employees. A lot of people for a municipality that as recently as 1940 had a population of 2,500.
